How to Birth Notify Your Lambs
Fill out the form
Enter Date of Birth
Select a Sire from the drop down menu - all registered alive males owned by you should appear on this list.
If the Sires or Dams have been death notified when you birth notify your lambs, please e-mail the information to the registrar as the online system cannot currently manage this. Also if the Sire was leased, birth notify directly to registrar.
Select Dam from the drop down menu - all registered alive females owned by you should appear on this list.
Note the number of lambs born to this dam.
Click Next
Complete this form:
If the lamb was stillborn, just check the stillborn box and click submit.
If the Lamb was born alive, continue with:
Gender, Name, Select the Type of Tag (federal or Electronic) both are official tags.
Color (find a list of acceptable colors below)
Location - which ear
Tag Number - a federal non electronic tag will have the following format: Letters, Premise ID, animal number, all you need to enter is the animal number xxx; an electronic ID tag will be (in the US) 840_xxxxxxxxxxxxx, (in Canada) 124_xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Click Submit
Repeat this process for all lambs born.
If you are submitting birth notifications manually
Download the Birth Notification/Registration spreadsheet here. Enter all required information, and e-mail it to registrar@blackwelsh.org.
If a lamb is stillborn or later dies, please still birth notify this lamb.
Acceptable Tag Colors:
Yellow, Purple, White, Mint, Orange, Pink, Brown, Red, Green, Blue, Black, Grey, Metal, Unknown, Not Applicable
